4-Year B.Ed in Primary Education (General Course)

4-Year B.Ed in Junior High School (JHS) Education (Specialized Course)

Primary Education: General teacher training for primary level instruction.

JHS Specialization: Choose to specialize in Mathematics/ICT, Geography/Social Studies, RME/Social Studies, English/Ghanaian Languages, and more to teach at the JHS level after graduation.

Admission Requirements

Ensure you meet the following criteria before applying

WASSCE Holders

Credit passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects

Three (3) Core subjects: English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies

Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to your course of study

SSSCE Holders

Credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects

Three (3) Core subjects: English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies

Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to your course of study

TVET Certificate Holders

TVET Certificate II with Lower Credit (C-) or better in six (6) subjects

Three (3) core subjects plus three (3) relevant electives

Alternative qualifications: NABPTEX, NVTI, City & Guilds certificates accepted

Other Qualifications

GCE Advanced Level: Passes in 3 subjects (at least Grade D) plus 5 O-Level credits

ABCE: Passes in 3 subjects plus 5 GBCE credits

Make Payment

Buy your Application Voucher at any Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) branch or use Mobile Money (*924*8# from any network: MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo)

Receive Your PIN

After payment, you'll receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Serial Number via SMS

Complete Online Application

Visit admission.coeportal.edu.gh, login with your PIN, and fill the application form. Upload passport photo (JPG/JPEG, max 40KB)

Select Your Choices

Choose McCoy College as your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice. Select your preferred programme and a Ghanaian language

Print & Submit Documents

Print TWO copies of confirmation page, attach passport photo and result slips, then post via Ghana Post EMS to the Principal, McCoy College of Education, Nadowli

Await Admission Notice

You'll receive SMS notifications about your application receipt and admission status. Keep your Application Number safe!

Important Notes

All results will be verified with WAEC. Submission of fake documents will lead to legal consequences

Provide accurate mobile number for SMS notifications about your application

Incomplete or improperly filled applications will not be processed

Foreign qualifications must beverified by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC)
